Sports Pain Overview

Sports injuries are commonly caused by overuse, direct impact, or the application of force that is greater than the body part can structurally withstand. Sports injuries are divided into two broad categories: acute and chronic injuries. Acute injuries happen suddenly, such as when a person falls, receives a blow, or twists a joint, while chronic injuries usually result from overuse of one area of the body and develop gradually over time. Examples of acute injuries are sprains and dislocations, while some common chronic injuries are shin splints and stress fractures.

Sports Pain Conditions

Are you tired of living with sports pain that limits your mobility and quality of life? We understand the impact sports pain can have on your daily activities, and that’s why we offer advanced non-surgical pain treatments to help you regain control of your life.

Sports pain can be debilitating and prevent you from enjoying normal activities. If left untreated, sports pain can have an enormous adverse effect on your quality of life.

  • Broken bone

A broken bone (bone fracture) can happen when sudden force is applied to a bone.

  • Cartilage tear

Cartilage is a tough but flexible shock absorber that covers and protects the ends of some bones. Cartilage injuries can occur in joints such as the knee and shoulder.

  • Concussion

A concussion is a brain injury caused by a bump or blow to the head.

  • Dislocation

Dislocation occurs when the end of a bone moves out of its normal position in a joint.

  • Tendinitis

Tendinitis occurs when tissues that connect muscles to bones (tendons) become swollen and inflamed. Repetitive movements cause it over time.

  • Sprains

A sprain happens when a ligament stretches too much or tears. Ligaments connect bones and stabilize joints. These injuries can be mild or severe, and they’re common in the ankle, knee, and wrist.

  • Strains

A strain occurs when a muscle is overextended, and it stretches or tears.

How We Work

Procedures We Do

Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) Therapy

PRP therapy is a regenerative medicine approach that utilizes a patient’s own blood components to promote healing. In PRP treatment, a small sample of the patient’s blood is processed to concentrate platelets and growth factors. The resulting PRP solution is then injected into the affected area, stimulating tissue repair and reducing inflammation. PRP therapy is minimally invasive and can offer long-lasting pain relief for certain conditions.

Stem Cell Therapy

Stem cell therapy is a regenerative medicine approach that utilizes the body’s natural healing capabilities. It involves the use of stem cells, which are undifferentiated cells with the remarkable ability to transform into various cell types. In the context of sports pain treatment, stem cell therapy aims to harness these cells to repair damaged tissues within the affected area.

Injections

Are you tired of living with persistent sports-related pain? Our efficient injection treatments offer a non-surgical solution to help you find relief and regain mobility. The injections are a minimally invasive procedure where medication is precisely delivered into the affected area to alleviate pain and inflammation. These injections are typically performed with the guidance of imaging techniques like ultrasound to ensure accuracy.

Cooled Radiofrequency Ablation

Say goodbye to sports pain without surgery. Discover the advanced and minimally invasive solution of Cooled Radiofrequency Ablation. Cooled RFA is a cutting-edge, non-surgical treatment for sports pain that harnesses the power of radiofrequency energy to target and relieve pain at its source. Unlike traditional RFA, cooled technology keeps the treatment area cool, maximizing safety and comfort.
